Two Faculty Openings in HPS

The department has been authorized to hire into two tenure track positions. One position is in the philosophy of physics. The other will come from at least one of these three areas: history & philosophy of medicine; early science; computation science. The designation "computation science" includes but is not necessarily limited to epistemological issues arising in scientific modeling with computers, applications in specific areas of science such as AI, computational neuroscience, climate modeling, etc., or digital/computational methods in history & philosophy of science. The department seeks candidates who exhibit interest in integrating history and philosophy of science as well as in-depth knowledge of the science or sciences relevant to their research.  Details below.
