I am interested in the philosophy of animal cognition, with special emphasis on topics such as communication, rationality, mind-reading, consciousness, and emotions. I also have a secondary interest in the intersection between cognitive science and medicine, with a focus on philosophy of psychiatry. Before Pitt, I obtained a BA in Philosophy (Hons.) and a MA in Logic and Philosophy of Science in my home country, Spain. I also held a research fellowship at the Institute for Philosophy at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), where I studied the history of human cytogenetics.
