My primary research interests lie in general philosophy of science and philosophy of biology. Drawing on my scientific background in biochemistry and structural biology, my philosophical work focuses on topics in experimental biology and biological explanation. Prior to joining Pitt HPS, I completed an M.Sc. in philosophy of science at the London School of Economics. My educational background also includes an M.A. in philosophy (Univ. Memphis), a B.S. (Univ. of Richmond) and M.S. (UMBC) in biochemistry, and a B.A. in gender and sexuality studies (Univ. Richmond).
