My primary research is in the philosophy of cognitive science, especially as it crosscuts neuroscience and psychology. I am particularly drawn to questions about explanation in these sciences. I am also interested in topics in the philosophy of psychiatry.

Before coming to Pitt HPS, I was a Ph.D. student in philosophy at Florida State University. Earlier, I received an M.A. in philosophy from Georgia State University and a B.A. in philosophy and cognitive science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
