My interests lie broadly within philosophy of the biological and biomedical sciences, feminist philosophy of science, and the nature of scientific objectivity. Within these domains I am particularly interested in questions of evidence robustness and the variety of evidence thesis, theory confirmation, and the role of values in scientific practice. I also research issues in philosophy of medicine regarding epistemic authority and injustice.
I grew up in Whangaparāoa, Aotearoa New Zealand. Before joining the Pitt HPS Department in 2023, I earned a Bachelor of Science and Advanced Studies from the University of Sydney in History and Philosophy of Science & Political Economy and completed an MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at the University of Cambridge.
