Particular areas of focus for me within philosophy of science include values in science, science in society, scientific objectivity, and feminist philosophy of science. I am also interested in issues related to the social organization of science, and scientific education, literacy, and communication. Additionally, I am interested in philosophy of neuroscience and related fields, philosophy of biology and psychology, and ethical questions about the use and regulation of new technologies.
Before coming to Pitt, I studied neuroscience and philosophy at Wellesley College and completed an MSc in Philosophy of Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
