I am currently a Research Associate in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh. My primary focus in this role is to assist Professor Edouard Machery on several cross-cultural experimental philosophy projects.
Earlier last year, I successfully defended my PhD thesis, “What is mathematical beauty? An experimental philosophical investigation into mathematicians’ aesthetic judgements”; with no correction. My thesis carried out a series of cross-cultural and expert-novice experimental philosophical studies in mathematical aesthetics, with a focus on epistemic virtues in mathematic. My PhD was conducted in the Department of Mathematics Education at Loughborough University.
After completing my PhD from Loughborough University, I stayed on for a few months as a visiting scholar to assist Professor Lara Alcock on a Leverhulme funded project about conditional inferences in mathematics education.
